BLAKE McCONVILLE (SUDBURY WOLVES):
Sudbury Wolves rookie Blake McConville picked up his first career OHL goal in Barrie on Thursday. The 17-year-old from LaSalle, Ont. banked a low shot past Barrie’s Leo Lazarev from below the goal line with an assist from fellow rookie Nolan Hutcheson. The Wolves lost the game 4-2, but McConville’s first career OHL goal will forever remain on the scoresheet. McConville was Sudbury’s fifth round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. He has a goal and an assist in 22 games this season.
