Wednesday Recap: 67’s gain ground

The Ottawa 67’s took a big two points in Kingston on Wednesday, defeating the Frontenacs 6-2 to move within a point of the East Division lead.
Dante Salituro, Sam Studnicka and Artur Tyanulin all had a goal and an assist while Jeremiah Addison and Travis Konecny had two assists each as Ottawa improved to 14-9-1-0 in one of two Wednesday night contests.
OTTAWA 6 KINGSTON 2 – The Ottawa 67’s pulled to within a point of the East Division leading Kingston Frontenacs, defeating them 6-2 on Wednesday as Dante Salituro, Sam Studnicka and Artur Tyanulin each had a goal and an assist. Ottawa’s second victory of the season over Kingston saw goaltender Leo Lazarev make 27 saves while Stepan Falkovsky, Trent Mallette and Connor Graham also found the back of the net. Rookies Jason Robertson and Ryan Cranford scored for the Frontenacs in the loss.
GAME SUMMARY HIGHLIGHTS
FLINT 4 SAGINAW 2 – The Flint Firebirds defeated the rival Saginaw Spirit for the third time this season as Connor Chatham and Josh Wesley each had a goal and an assist in a 4-2 victory. Defenceman Mathieu Henderson pitched in with two assists while Cullen Mercer and Connor Sills also scored as the Firebirds improved to 11-10-1-1, handing the Spirit their seventh straight loss.
