2024 OHL Playoffs get underway:
Sixteen teams have advanced to the 2024 OHL Playoffs that got underway on Thursday. Here’s a look at series previews for every first round matchup. Read more
Oakville Rangers and Vaughan Kings to face-off in 2024 OHL Cup Championship Final:
The 2024 OHL Cup presented by FPS Payment has two teams left standing as the Oakville Rangers and undefeated GTHL champion Vaughan Kings hit the ice Saturday afternoon at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. Saturday’s game gets underway at 2:00pm. Read more
Spitfires to select first overall in 2024 OHL Priority Selection presented by Real Canadian Superstore:
For the first time since 1976, the Windsor Spitfires will select First Overall in the OHL Priority Selection on Friday, April 12th, coming away winners of the 2024 OHL Draft Lottery held Wednesday evening, with results streamed on OHL Live. The OHL Priority Selection will once again be held over the course of two days, with Rounds 1-3 taking place beginning at 7:00pm on Friday, April 12th. The proceedings continue on Saturday, April 13th starting at 9:00am with Rounds 4-15. The Priority Selection will be produced by YourTV, and streamed for free in its entirety on OHL Live. Read more
OHL announces 2023-24 Regular Season Award Winners:
The OHL announced three individual recipients of the League’s annual regular season awards, including Sudbury Wolves captain David Goyette earning the Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy as the OHL’s top scorer in 2023-24, Knights goaltending duo of Michael Simpson and Owen Willmore as this year’s Dave Pinkney Trophy for lowest amount of goals, and Jack Ivankovic of the Mississauga Steelheads as the recipient of the F.W. “Dinty” Moore Trophy, leading all qualified rookie netminders with a 2.72 goals-against average. Knights claim Hamilton Spectator Trophy as OHL Regular Season Champions:
The London Knights are 2024 OHL Regular Season Champions, skating to a 3-0 win over the Guelph Storm on Sunday to solidify supremacy on the final day of the schedule. The 50-14-1-3 Knights are Hamilton Spectator Trophy recipients for the seventh time in franchise history following previous titles in 2013, 2012, 2007, 2006, 2005 and 2004. London went on to win OHL championships in three of those seasons (2013, 2012, 2005) and hoisted the Memorial Cup in 2005. Read more

The Ontario Hockey League announced top performers for the month of March including Sudbury Wolves forward David Goyette, Oshawa Generals goaltender Jacob Oster, Saginaw Spirit blueliner Zayne Parekh, and Mississauga Steelheads goaltender Jack Ivankovic. Read more
Wolves’ Goyette named Cogeco OHL Player of the Week:
Seattle Kraken prospect David Goyette of the Sudbury Wolves is the Cogeco OHL Player of the Week for the second time this season, contributing three goals, eight assists and 11 points while registering a plus-6 rating in three games played. Read more
Sting’s Surzycia named OHL Goaltender of the Week:
Nick Surzycia of the Sarnia Sting is the OHL Goaltender of the Week, playing to a 1-2 record including a shutout, along with a 2.33 goals-against average and .941 save percentage. Read more

Concluding the final week of regular season action, the Oshawa Generals remain atop the OHL Power Rankings presented by Power Staffing Solutions, with a 12-game winning streak carrying them to the top of the Eastern Conference! Read more
Petes ink Head Coach Rob Wilson to eight-year extension:
The Peterborough Petes have signed Head Coach Rob Wilson to an eight-year contract extension. The contract will keep Wilson with the club through July of 2032. Since being named as the club’s 23rd Head Coach in May 2018, Wilson has compiled 154 wins, clinching a playoff spot in four out of his five seasons. Last season, Wilson led the Petes to the club’s 10th J. Ross Robertson Cup before finishing third at the 2023 Memorial Cup. Read more
Wolves add Drake Berehowsky as Defence Consultant:
The Sudbury Wolves announce the addition of Drake Berehowsky as Defence Coaching Consultant. Berehowsky is no stranger to the Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club having been the Associate Coach handling the team defence in 2015-2017. During the 2016-2017 season with the Wolves, Berehowsky went on to accept the position of Head Coach in the ECHL with the Orlando Solar Bears. He then went on to be the Head Coach and General Manager of the Solar Bears for the following five years. Prior to his time with the Wolves in 2015, Berehowsky had already established a large coaching resume of various levels of hockey starting in 2006 which included time in the OHL, WHL, ECHL, and AHL. Storm set new attendance record in 2023-24:
It’s been a successful season in the stands for the Guelph Storm. The team’s average attendance hit a new benchmark of 4,704 fans this year, with 29 of the team’s 34 home games this season being sellouts or standing-room only. Read more
Petes set new attendance records during 2023-24 season:
The Peterborough Petes have broken a number of long standing attendance records during the 2023-24 season. This includes 20 single game attendance records, a new average attendance record, and a total attendance record. The Petes capped off their home portion of the 2023-24 season on Thursday against the Ottawa 67’s with their record 17th sell-out of the season. A total of 3,862 fans attended the game, making the overall total 119,747 over 34 home games, 8,505 more than the previous record of 111,242 from the 2005-06 Championship season. After Thursday’s sell-out, the average attendance this season climbed to 3,522, 250 higher than the previous record of 3,272 during 2005-06. These numbers also factored into 20 new single game attendance records that were set this season. Read more

Logan Morrison makes NHL debut:
Former OHL Champion and Ottawa 67’s graduate Logan Morrison saw his first NHL action on Tuesday night as the Seattle Kraken shutout the Anaheim Ducks 4-0. The 21-year-old Guelph, Ont. native registered three shots, one hit and one block through 14:21 of ice-time. The 6-foot, 170lb. forward has registered 15 goals and 40 points in 60 games played with the AHL’s Coachella Valley Firebirds this season. An Undrafted Free-Agent, Morrison signed an entry-level contract with the Kraken on April 12. Read more
Nicholas Paul skates in 400th NHL contest:
Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nicholas Paul skated in his 400th NHL contest on Wednesday, tallying an assist in a 3-1 win over the Boston Bruins. A former fourth round, 101st overall pick of the Dallas Stars in the 2013 NHL Draft, the Mississauga, Ont. native has registered 70 goals, 81 assists, and 151 points over nine seasons played between the Ottawa Senators and Lightning. Selected in the fifth round (95th overall) by the Brampton Battalion in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection, Paul played three seasons in the OHL, recording 140 points (75-65-140) over 191 regular season contests.
