First round pick Frankie Marrelli commits to 67’s
Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa 67’s announced, today, that 2022 first-round draft pick Frankie Marrelli has committed to the team.
“We are extremely pleased to add Frankie to our hockey club,” said General Manager James Boyd. “He is a mobile, and skilled defenceman, who plays with a physical edge.”
Marrelli was selected 21st overall by Ottawa in this year’s OHL Priority Selection, following a standout 2021-22 season with his hometown Markham Waxers (OMHA). The defenceman scored 12 goals and 23 assists for 35 points in 26 games.
During the OHL Cup, Marrelli finished third on his team in scoring, with a goal and five assists in five games.
