Wolves Host Colts Friday
(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves return to home ice this Friday night to host the Barrie Colts at 7:05pm. The Wolves are expected to clinch a playoff spot this week and will be looking to build on their standing in the playoff race. The Wolves picked up 3 of a 4 possible points on the road last weekend and will be looking to continue to build upon it as every game counts, and all points matter as the Wolves claw their way toward the playoffs.
The Barrie Colts currently sit 9th in the Eastern Conference playoff race, just 3 points back of the 8th place Peterborough Petes. The Colts are led by top 2019 NHL draft eligible prospect Ryan Suzuki. In 53 games, Suzuki has 19 goals and 40 points for 59 points. They are also led up front by Buffalo Sabres prospect Matej Pekar and on the back-end by St. Louis Blues prospect Tyler Tucker. The Colts are backstopped by 17-year-old rookie goaltender Jet Greaves. Greaves was named CHL Goaltender of the Week February 3rd, and on the season has posted a 0.914 SAV % and a 3.21 GAA.
Friday’s game is sponsored by Gateway Casino who will be on-hand with prize packages for the first 2000 fans. The Northeastern Ontario Trades Building Council will also join the Wolves for a special pre-game presentation to the Elgin Street Mission.

Following Friday’s game, the Wolves will travel to Barrie to complete the home and home series with the Colts at 7:30pm. Sunday, the Wolves will visit Hamilton at 2:00pm for a matinee match-up against the Bulldogs.
