Sudbury Wolves Host Exciting Doubleheader Weekend
Greater Sudbury, ON – The Sudbury Wolves are back at The Den this weekend with two action-packed games that fans won’t want to miss! The excitement kicks off Friday night with Shoresy Night, followed by a classic Sudbury Saturday Night game on Saturday.
The Wolves are currently in third place in the OHL’s Central Division, sporting a 13-8-4-0 record, and are hot on the heels of the Niagara IceDogs and Barrie Colts. Coming off an impressive 5-3 win over the Barrie Colts, the team is on a roll. Kieron Walton, the 6’6” forward from Toronto, has been a standout this season. Ranked 7th in the OHL with 39 points (16 goals, 23 assists), Walton is also leading the team with a +8 rating and has been on fire recently, scoring 7 goals in his last 5 games. Last Friday, Hudson Chitaroni scored the game-winning goal with a rocket from the point, adding to the team’s momentum.
This Friday, the Wolves are thrilled to team up with New Metric Media for the third annual Shoresy Night—a fan-favorite event that promises a memorable evening of hockey and comedy. The Wolves will take the ice wearing limited edition Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs themed jerseys, with all proceeds from the jersey auction going to the HSN Foundation, supporting pediatric care. Fans can bid on these one-of-a-kind jerseys through an online auction HERE, with other exciting auction items including a visit to the Shoresy set and/or the chance to be an extra on the show, plus an authentic signed cast jersey.
Before the game, the Wolves will welcome the HSN Foundation for a cheque presentation and a special ceremonial puck drop featuring Shoresy cast members Dolo and Goody. Fans can also win “game sticks” throughout the night and shop limited edition Shoresy themed merchandise, with a portion of all proceeds benefiting the HSN Foundation. Make sure to visit HSN Foundation’s table in the upper concourse next to guest services for more information. In true Shoresy style, Dolo will also be performing during the intermissions!
Friday’s game is proudly sponsored by Northern Epoxy, with a chance to win a game-ready Wolves x Shoresy jersey at their table in the lower lobby.
The evening will also feature a Foyer Inner-City Home Food Drive—fans who donate non-perishable food items will be entered into a prize draw, courtesy of Glencore and the Sudbury Wolves.
