The BE Kind Initiative, led by Sarnia Sting forward Beckham Edwards, is focused on spreading kindness in Grade K–2 classrooms throughout the community. Beckham visits selected schools to read a book centered around kindness, talk with students about the importance of treating others with respect, and encourage positive actions in their everyday lives.
Each student receives a BE Kind Card, where they’re challenged to complete acts of kindness. Once finished, cards are submitted to their teacher and entered into a draw to win a special prize. Due to scheduling and availability, not all schools that apply will receive a visit, but every application helps support the goal of spreading kindness throughout the community.
