When Alexander Khokhlachev was lost for the season back on March 4th, second-year centre Brady Vail was thrust into a first-line role.
The 18-year-old Palm City, Florida native has responded with his best hockey of the season.
Vail is our Tecumseh and South Walkerville Vision Centres Player of the Week for the period ending March 18th and the Precision Jewellers Player of the Month for February.
Last month, Vail had four goals and six assists along with a +1 rating while playing outstanding in all three zones, at even strength, on the power play and penalty kill.
Last week, Vail was arguably our best player, posting two goals and three assists in three games.
He finished the season with 22 goals and 30 assists for 52 points – good for third on the club – and a +1 rating.
Vail was the 32nd ranked North American skater in NHL Central Scouting’s most recent prospects list.
He’ll be counted on heavily to lead if the Spits are going to upset the London Knights in the first round of the playoffs, which gets underway Friday at the John Labatt Centre.
For his outstanding play, Vail will receive a slick Bulova watch courtesy of Precision Jewellers.
The staffs at both Precision Jewellers and Tecumseh and South Walkerville Vision Centres congratulate Brady on an outstanding season, and wish he and his teammates the best of luck in the playoffs.
