Johnson nets pair, Maletta Taken To Hospital

Unbridled optimism turned into a day of mixed emotions and a tie with the Plymouth Whalers on Labour Day Monday at the WFCU Centre.
Ben Johnson scored a pair of goals, both assisted by Brennan Feasey and Craig Duininck.
Feasey also scored in the third to give the Spits a shortlived 3-2 lead.
Shortly after Johnson’s second marker, fellow rookie Jordan Maletta was checked along the boards, before trainers and medical personnel attended to him.
Maletta has since been released from hospital.
The team will be releasing more information Tuesday on his condition and status.
