(Oshawa) Alexander Khokhlachev had a pair of goals, while Brady Vail and Kerby Rychel each had a goal and an assist, as the Spitfires knocked off the Oshawa Generals, 5-2 on Sunday night.
Adrian Robertson had the other goal for Windsor (12-12-2-1) and John Cullen made 26 saves in goal for the win.
Rookie winger Ben Johnson chipped in two assists.
The Spits needed a better start than they had on Saturday night in Peterborough. And they got it, in the form of goals by Rychel and Khokhlachev in an 11-second span of the first period.
A pair of powerplay goals later put the game out of reach.
Robertson’s sixth of the season made it 3-0 Spits at 13:05. Vail’s ninth made it 4-0 nine minutes into the second.
Christian Thomas and Josh Graves had the goals for Oshawa (10-13-1-3).
The Spits took three of a possible six points this weekend.
Next up: the Niagara IceDogs visit the WFCU Centre on Friday night. Gametime is 7:05.
