Outstanding performances in wins over Saginaw and Ottawa have earned Jack Campbell Tecumseh and South Walkerville Vision Centres Player of the Week honours for the period ending October 2nd.
The 19-year-old native of Port Huron, Michigan is in his second season with the Spits. He recorded a 24-14 record with the club last season, with a goals against average of 3.80 and a save percentage of .884.
He is on pace to smash those numbers this year.
Campbell currently sits fourth among all Ontario Hockey League goaltenders with a 1.65 GAA and .947 save percentage. He has won all three of his starts since returning from Dallas Stars training camp last month, including a shutout win over Sarnia in his first game back.
Congratulations on a great week, Jack, from everyone at Tecumseh and South Walkerville Vision Centres.
