Spits Fall 4-1 to Spirit

The Spitfires travelled to the Dow Event Centre in Saginaw for a matchup with the Spirit; the season series was even coming into tonight’s game.
In the first period, the Spitfires struck first when Boka took a pass off the half wall from Afanasyev and put it five-hole, giving the Spits the lead just 2:40 into the game. But after that, it was all Saginaw. They tied the game just a minute and a half later. After the first, shots were in favour of the Spirit 16-10.
In the 2nd period, the Spirit added another goal making it 2-1.
In the 3rd period, the Spirit added another two goals, one being an empty-net tally. The Spitfires were outshot 41-27.
The Spitfires’ next game is Sunday, December 29th as they take on the Flint Firebirds at the Dort Federal Event Centre in Flint.
