What a day at The Aud
I’ve been to a handful of practices at The Aud this year but today’s was special. Ben Fanelli has been on the ice with his teammates for most of the season but he always leaves when contact drills start. Until today. Instead of heading to the workout room to ride a stationary bike during contact drills, Fanelli stayed on the ice with the rest of his team. It’s important to remember that this is just another step in Ben’s path to complete recovery and, hopefully, medical clearance. There is absolutely no timetable for his return to game action. But it was great to see him fully involved today and the mood at practice showed it. Our thoughts remain with you, #4!
On an unrelated note, but still at the rink, we shot several more player profiles today that you’ll be seeing on Rangers Vision pretty soon. We ask everything from the mundane (favourite colour, music on your i-Pod) to the “inside” (who’s the biggest practical joker on the team?) in hopes of helping you get to know the players just a little bit better. So remember, if there’s a question you’d like to see us ask, submit it as a comment here! We’ll get to it on a future episode of Rangers Vision.
Hard to believe that Friday marks four home games in a row. Did you know that Sunday’s shootout loss to Ottawa was only the second loss at The Aud all season? See you at the rink.
