During Tim’s time with the Kitchener Rangers, he was awarded the Blue Line Club Trophy as the Most Gentlemanly Player for the 1966-1967 season. Tim played 11 seasons in the NHL between 1967 and 1978, twice reaching the 50-plus point plateau. Following his Major Junior career, Tim signed with the New York Rangers, however, his rights were quickly traded to the St. Louis Blues after the 1967 NHL Expansion Draft. After three seasons with the Blues, Tim was traded to the Detroit Red Wings where he played for four years before moving to Toronto and spending two seasons with the Maple Leafs. He also spent time playing with both the Washington Capitals and the Atlanta Flames. After suffering a knee injury during the 1977-1978 season, Tim became the Assistant Coach of the Flames and remained in the position until the team moved to Calgary. Tim is now the co-owner of a sports bar in Atlanta named Timothy-John’s Restaurant and Lounge and the owner of his own establishment called T.J.’s Sports Bar and Grill.
