The Food Bank of Waterloo Region seeks support of Rangers Nation
Rangers Nation! We’re calling on you to help those struggling in our very own Waterloo Region by giving them something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday.
On Monday, October 12th The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, in collaboration with the Kitchener Rangers, will be collecting non-perishable food items and/or a financial donation when the Rangers host the visiting Sudbury Wolves at 2pm at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex.
Hunger doesn’t discriminate, as has been evidenced by the fact that 1-in-5 of those turning to food banks are working people and/or families, and as many as 1-in-20 households in our community need food support.
Every dollar donated will provide food for three meals, and will help The Food Bank of Waterloo Region get that much closer to reaching their goal of providing 435,000 meals and 14 weeks of essential food this fall.
Food items needed most include but are not limited to: canned fish & meat, peanut butter, canned fruit and dry beans.
Donations will be accepted on game day, Monday, October 12th, at every entrance of the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex.
If you can’t make it to the game, there are still many other ways to donate, which can be found on The Food Bank of Waterloo Region’s website, here.
Tickets to the Monday, October 12th game versus the Sudbury Wolves can be purchased in person at The Aud box office, by calling (519) 576-3700, at Centre in the Square, or by clicking here.
