Rangers in Control

Mississauga, ON: The Kitchener Rangers had a 5-2 win against the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors at the Hershey Centre tonight. Although Mississauga out-shot the Rangers 31/25 it wasn't enough.

Nick Spaling had a strong night as he landed 2 goals early in the game, both on the power play. Spaling was the only goal scorer in the first period of play and he started off scoring in the second.

To finish off scoring in the second period Mike Mascioli came across the blue line into St. Michael's territory, and took a soft wrist shot to get the third goal of the game.

Very quickly into the third the Rangers scored 2 more goals. Matt Halischuk scored off a wrap-around shot, 4:45 into the third period. Shortly after, Steven Tarasuk scored his first goal of the season on a give and go.

The Majors get on the board seconds later with a shot from Casey Cizikas. They continue to fight back getting the last goal of the game, scored by Tim Billingsley.

The Rangers return to action Friday, November 16th against the Saginaw Spirit with a start time of 7:30pm.
