Rangers Close Weekend With 4-1 Win
The Kitchener Rangers closed out the weekend with a 4-1 win over the Guelph Storm.
Opening scoring for the game was Rangers’ Andrew Crescenzi, with a wraparound goal that put Kitchener up 1-0 at 12:44 of the first period. Less than 2-minutes later, Chris MacKinnon increased the Rangers lead 2-0 with a power play marker. Mathew Sisca replied for Guelph with a wrist-shot that beat Mavric Parks at the 18:00 mark.
Kitchener’s power play added two goals in the second. Ryan Murphy scored on a shot from the point in the first half of the period and John Moore netted his fourth of the season in the second half.
The third period was scoreless. Rangers’ Mavric Parks turned aside 33 of 34 shots on net while Cody St. Jacques faced 33 shots by Kitchener.
The Rangers are preparing for the 15th Annual Teddy Bear Toss on Tuesday, December 8th. Fans attending the game are asked to bring a new or gently used teddy bear/stuffed animal to donate.
