Otters End Rangers Streak at 10
Erie: The Erie Otters defeated the Kitchener Rangers 6-3 in Erie tonight to end the Rangers latest winning streak at 10 games.
The Rangers opened the scoring when Justin Azevedo scoed his 26th of the season. The Otters answered back with a powerplay marker before the first period end.
The Otters jumped out into a 3-1 lead after two periods before expanding the lead to 5-1 in the third period.
Nazem Kadri (15th) and Mike Duco (18th) had the other Rangers goals.
Nick Palmieri lead the Otters with 3 goals, while Justin Hogman had a pair. Sean Jones had the other Erie goal.
The Otters were 3 for 4 on the powerplay while the Rangers were 2 for 5.
The Rangers return to action on Thursday when they travel to London to meet the Knights. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
