General Manager
Mike joined the Rangers in 2012 and hails from Whitby, Ontario. He was a draft pick of the Saginaw Spirit in the 2002 OHL Priority Selection and went on to play four years of Junior A, finishing with the St. Mike’s Buzzers.
While playing for the Buzzers, Mike received a Division I hockey scholarship to attend St. Lawrence University in New York.
During his time at St. Lawrence, he excelled on and off the ice. He surpassed the 100-point mark while also being named to the All-Academic Team in 2008 and 2009, earning his degree.
Mike would then move on to play two years of professional hockey. He split time between the AHL and ECHL, playing for the Charlotte Checkers, Houston Aeros and Florida Everblades.
After retiring from professional hockey, Mike served as video coach for the Hockey Canada U-17 program in 2014. He was hired by the Rangers as an assistant coach, spending three seasons in that role from 2012-15. He was promoted to assistant general manager/assistant coach ahead of the 2015-16 season and was named general manager of the Rangers in March, 2017.
