For more than 70 years, The Aud has been a cornerstone of the community. The history of The Aud tells a story of a building first conceived with a vision for the future – a vision that has been surpassed.

In 2012, an expansion at The Aud added close to 1,000 seats to the venue’s capacity, as well as a third-level concourse, a fourth-level media room, bunker-style suites, concessions, washrooms, offices and retail areas.

The Aud hosts more than 500,000 guests over 364 days of the year within its 70,000+ square feet of indoor exhibition space. This includes three adjoining ice surfaces (Kinsmen, Kiwanis and Dom Cardillo arenas). Also home to The Aud are Jack Couch Ball Park, Centennial Stadium, The Aud Skate Park and The Aud Neighbourhood Leash Free Dog Park.

The Aud welcomes its guests to stage shows, trade and consumer shows, exhibitions, training sessions, seminars, concert productions, religious gatherings, ice events, tournaments, and a variety of baseball and field events while providing world-class customer service and great experiences to all… every visit!

The Aud is owned and operated by the City of Kitchener.

Directions

The Aud is just five minutes from downtown Kitchener, 10 minutes from Highway 401 and 45 minutes from Toronto’s Pearson International airport.

Driving Instructions:

From Hwy-401: Hwy-401 to Hwy-8 West (Kitchener) exit. West on Hwy-8 to Hwy-7 North. North on Hwy-7 to Ottawa St. exit. West on Ottawa to East Ave. North (right) on East to Kitchener Memorial Auditorium (The Aud). The Aud is located on the east (right) side of the road.

General parking rules at The Aud

• Private property. 
• Event Parking Only.
• No overnight parking.
• Park at Your Own Risk.

• Do not idle vehicles for more than 3 minutes.

LOT A – reserved paid parking

This lot is reserved for pass-holders who have pre-paid at The Activa Box Office at The Aud; or if space allows, paid at the entrance. Vehicles must show a valid permit to park. Only those vehicles that are specifically authorized by the assignee may park in the reserved lot. There are 5 accessible spots available in this lot.

LOT B – carpool parking (Min. 3 per vehicle)

Vehicles carrying three or more persons will be permitted to park in these lots. Parking attendants will grant access to those following regulation. There are 8 accessible spots available in this lot.

LOTS C, D, E, F, G – general parking

These lots are for general, free parking at The Aud.

Reserved Mercedes-Benz Kitchener-Waterloo Luxury Suites parking lot

This lot is reserved for luxury suite pass-holders. Vehicles must show a valid permit to park. Only those vehicles that are specifically authorized by the assignee may park in the reserved lot. There are 10 accessible spots in this lot.

Street parking

Street parking is permitted but patrons must follow City of Kitchener parking regulations. To ensure safety and fairness for all residents, watch for fire hydrants and fire routes, accessible parking designations, and time limits. No person is permitted to park a vehicle on private property without the consent of the owner or occupant, and no parking on boulevards or sidewalks. Parking on a city street when a snowfall of more than eight centimeters is forecasted or a snow event is declared is prohibited.

Do not block other patrons inside their space. Centre your vehicle in its parking space. Overhanging the stripes will crowd the driver who parks in the adjacent space and frequently leads to door dings in the paint of cars. Pull your vehicle all the way into your space. Watch for posted speed limits and one-way signs and markers.
