OHL Announces the Postponement of Dec 15th and Dec 18th Games
Toronto, Ont. – Due to League Covid-19 protocols affecting the Owen Sound Attack Hockey Club and out of an abundance of caution, the Ontario Hockey League has announced that their regular-season home game scheduled for Wednesday, December 15 against the Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club has been postponed.
The Ontario Hockey League and the Owen Sound Attack will not be providing comment at this time. The League will provide an update on the matter as information becomes available.
The game will be rescheduled at a later date.
Additionally –
In accordance with established protocols, the OHL today announced that the Erie Otters Hockey Club has suspended all team activities as a result of 13 players having tested positive for Covid-19. All players affected are currently asymptomatic or exhibiting mild symptoms and the League and team will continue to monitor their well-being.
The Ontario Hockey League had previously incorporated specific COVID-19 protocols including mandatory vaccination for all members of the OHL Community including players, staff, officials and billets. The OHL continues to work in consultation with the League’s independent Chief Medical Officer.
As a result of the suspension of team activities for the Erie Otters, the following OHL Regular Season games have been postponed:
Friday, December 17 – Erie Otters at Guelph Storm
Saturday, December 18 – Kitchener Rangers at Erie Otters
Neither the OHL or the Erie Otters Hockey Club will be identifying affected individuals, and the League will provide an update regarding future games along with the rescheduling of above matchups as information becomes available.
