Kitchener Rangers acquire Joseph Rupoli from the Oshawa Generals
The Kitchener Rangers announced today that defenceman, Joseph Rupoli, has been acquired from the Oshawa Generals.
In exchange, the Generals will receive Kitchener’s 10th round pick in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection.
The 18-year-old Oakville, ON native, was a fifth-round pick of the Oshawa Generals in 2016. Rupoli has played in 29 games this season with the Generals and split time between Oshawa and the Mississauga Chargers of the OJHL during the 2017-18 campaign.
“We would like to welcome Joseph to the Rangers,” said general manager, Mike McKenzie. “He is a big and strong defenceman who plays the game hard and can make life difficult for opposing forwards. We look forward to having him continue his junior hockey career here in Kitchener.”
