12 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE TONIGHT’S GAME

1) Today marks the second and final meeting of the season between the Niagara IceDogs and Kitchener Rangers. The Rangers won the first meeting in St. Catharines on January 17 by a score of 6-0.
2) The 6-0 victory was the first career OHL shutout by Rangers goaltender Mario Culina.
3) The Rangers saw a season-high seven game win streak snapped at the hands of the Owen Sound Attack on Saturday night at the Bayshore, 6-3.
4) Since their last meeting vs. the Rangers, the IceDogs are 2-3-1-1 in their last eight games. They are 0-2-0-1 in their last three heading into tonight.
5) Kitchener’s Adam Mascherin sits fifth overall in league scoring with 70 points (34G, 36A) in 51 games played. Newly acquired Sam Miletic leads the way for the IceDogs with 72 points (26G, 46A) in 46 games played, ranking fourth in OHL scoring.
6) Kitchener’s top line of Adam Mascherin (4G, 6A), Logan Brown (3G, 9A), and Kole Sherwood (4G, 6A) have registered 32 points, collectively, over the course of their last four games.
7) Tonight marks the first time defenceman and former Ranger Elijah Roberts returns to The Aud since being acquired by the IceDogs in the offseason.
8) Rangers centre Logan Brown is currently riding an eight-game active point streak, dating back to November 24, 2017 as a member of the Windsor Spitfires. He has collected a total of six goals and 19 points over the course of those eight games.
9) The Kitchener Rangers home power play is 5th in the OHL, executing at a 24.7% efficiency (22-for-89). Their home penalty kill is 10th overall at 79.8% (67-for-84). The Niagara IceDogs road power play ranks 8th at 21.2% (24-for-113), while their road penalty kill is ranked 3rd at 83.8% (98-for-117).
10) Overall, the Rangers boast the second best penalty kill in the OHL, while the IceDogs sit fifth in the OHL on the PK.
11) The Rangers are 17-0-0-0 when leading after one period of play, and 25-2-0-0 when leading after two.
