12 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE TONIGHT’S GAME

1) Today marks the first of six meetings between the Kitchener Rangers and the London Knights.
2) The Knights have defeated the Rangers in their last 13 straight meetings. The last Kitchener win over London came December 29, 2015; a 3-2 decision at The Aud.
3) The Knights lone win of the season came on the road, a 3-2 overtime win over the Saginaw Spirit in their second game of the season on September 23rd.
4) Following that overtime win in Saginaw, London had lost seven in a row. They snapped that skid by earning a point in their most recent game, an overtime loss to the Owen Sound Attack last Sunday, October 15th.
5) Tonight will mark the Kitchener debut for newly acquired Rangers’ forward Kole Sherwood. The 20-year-old winger from New Albany, OH was acquired in a trade with the Flint Firebirds on Tuesday.
6) Joseph Raaymakers is expected to make his London Knights debut tonight after being acquired in a trade with the Soo Greyhounds, also on Tuesday.
7) The Kitchener Rangers home power play has improved to 7th in the OHL, executing at a 20% efficiency (4-for-20). Their home penalty kill is 15th overall at 76.2% (16-for-21).
8) The London road power play ranks 13th in the league at 16.7% (4-for-24), while their road penalty kill is also ranked 13th at 76% (19-for-25).
9) The London Knights have the fewest goals scored in the Ontario Hockey League with 18 in 10 games.
10) The Rangers round out the weekend with their lone trip of the season to Oshawa when they take on the Generals tomorrow night at 7:05pm.
11) The Knights are off tomorrow before travelling to Mississauga to face the Steelheads at the Hershey Centre on Sunday at 2pm.
12) Rangers’ goaltender Anthony Dumont-Bouchard is out of the lineup for tonight’s game with an upper body injury and is listed as day-to-day. Lucas Pfeil was called up and will back-up Luke Richardson tonight.
