Final: Rangers 4 , Greyhounds 5
The Rangers looked to stay undefeated at home and make up for their recent loss against the Greyhounds on Wednesday evening. #RTown showed up in spooky attire and trick or treated with Tex in the concourse.
Early in the 1st period, the Greyhounds capitalize on a bench penalty, as Tye Kartye scores (assisted by Cole MacKay and Tanner Dickinson). Joseph Serpa quickly responds for the Rangers (assisted by Declan McDonnell and Justin Nolet), but the Soo go on to score two more goals that period (Tanner Dickinson, Landen Hookey).
The second period begins with two powerplays for the Rangers, but they are unable to capitalize on it. But, as the period continues momentum shifts towards the Rangers and they are able to score two goals to tie before the end of the period (Arber Xhekaj with his first goal of the season, and Trent Swick with his first OHL goal).
The third period was back and forth as the Soo and Rangers (Declan McDonnell) both score midway through to tie 4-4, but the Soo continued battling and got another one quickly. It remained 5-4 for the Soo Greyhounds for the remainder of the game.
