Day One of 2017 Rangers Spring Camp
Kitchener Rangers Spring Camp opened on Friday with off-ice fitness testing, a practice for Team Landeskog, then wrapped up with the first game of the weekend with Team Skinner skating to a 3-1 win over Team Gibson.
Team Gibson opened the scoring at the 6:16 mark of the first period on an unassisted goal by Ryan O’Hara. Team Skinner would respond before the period was out to make it a 1-1 game, as Reece Bolton tallied the equalizer at 13:06, with the assist to Grayson Ladd.
Riley Damiani gave Team Skinner a 2-1 edge at 9:03 of the second period, with assists to Ryan Mahshie and Alex Dominique.
Mike Petizian made it 3-1 Team Skinner at 18:11 of the second, from Damiani and Brett Humberstone.
The game consisted of two-20 minute, stop-time periods.
Rangers Spring Camp continues Saturday with the following events open to the fans at Activa Sportsplex:
9:30am – Practice: Team Skinner
10:30am – GAME: Team Gibson vs. Team Landeskog
6:30pm – Practice: Team Gibson
7:30pm – GAME: Team Landeskog vs. Team Skinner

9am – GAME: Second Place vs. Third Place
10:15am – GAME: First Place vs. Winner of Previous Game
