Brandon Merli promoted to Director of Sports Science and Development Coach
The Kitchener Rangers announced on Monday that Brandon Merli has been promoted to the role of Director of Sports Science and Development Coach.
“This was an obvious move to make with the direction that sports are trending and our organizations mentality of 1% matters,” said Rangers general manager Mike McKenzie. “Brandon already has and will continue to be a key member of the staff and provide great value to our players and their daily habits.
“He will take a lead role in areas such as nutrition, rest and recovery, injury prevention and the overall strength and conditioning of our players. Brandon will continue to work alongside the rest of the coaching and management staff to ensure we are finding the most cutting edge and best ways to provide our players with the tools they need to develop off the ice.”
