Bio:
Sandy played briefly in the National Hockey League for both the New York Rangers and the Minnesota North Stars but spent most of his professional hockey career in the minors. He played two years in the Central Hockey League with the Memphis South Stars as well as three years with the Western Hockey League’s San Diego Gulls. Sandy was chosen as the Kitchener Rangers’ first Captain and was also awarded the Jim Reilly Trophy (Scoring Champion) for both the 1963-64 and 1964-65 seasons.
