Rangers choose 17 players in OHL Priority Selection
The Kitchener Rangers welcomed 17 new players to the organization with the completion of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection, presented by Real Canadian Superstore.
With their first-round pick, the Rangers selected centerman Andrew Leblanc of the Southern Tier Admirals 17th overall.
The native of Port Colborne, ON stands 5’11.5” and 165 lbs. In 31 regular season games during his 2019/20 campaign, Leblanc recorded 25 goals and 43 assists for 68 points. He also tallied 14 goals and 20 assists in an additional 13 playoff games.
“We feel that Andrew has elite hockey sense. He’s extremely skilled and we think that he’s going to be a great player for us,” said General Manager Mike McKenzie.
“Andrew shows a really nice blend of skill, some grit, and a strong work ethic as well.”
