Storm Top Rangers 3-1
Kitchener, ON: The Storm used two first period goals to secure a 3-1 win over the Rangers tonight at The Aud before a crowd of 5,757.

The Storm got on the board midway through the first period as Tyler Doig and Matt D’Agostini staked the Storm to a 2-0 lead.

In the third period Sean Smyth brought the Rangers to within a goal with his first of the season at 14:40. The Storm foiled the Rangers comeback bid with a late goal by D’Agostini, his second of the game to go up 3-1.

Dan Turple took the loss in goal allowing 3 goals on 27 shots.

The Rangers next game is Friday night against the Windsor Spitfires. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Game Notes: Sean Smyth’s goal was the first of his OHL career Boris Valabik was the game’s 2nd star the Rangers were 0/11 on the power play the Storm were 2/10 with the man advantage…both teams had 27 shots on goal the teams combined for 42 PIM’s in the game.
