Storm Top Rangers In Overtime
Kitchener, ON: Mike McLean scored the overtime winner tonight lifting the Storm to a 2-1 win over the Rangers before a crowd of 5,709 at The Aud.
In the opening period both teams combined for only 5 shots, neither finding the back of the net.
In the second period Brian Soso scored his 7th goal of the season at 2:17 beating Thomas McCollum for a 1-0 Rangers lead. Rafael Rotter tied the game with his 8th beating John Murray at 12:50.
Despite outshooting the Storm 16-6 in the third period the Rangers were unable to score the go-ahead goal.
In the overtime the Storm took advantage of a power play when Mike McLean scored the winning goal at 1:17.
The Rangers next home game is Friday, January 12th against the Barrie Colts. Game time is scheduled for
