Erie Otters, Lavery Brewing Company Launch Full-Scale Return of YOU OTTER BEER HERE
Erie, Pennsylvania – Something special is brewing for the new season of Erie Otters hockey.
The Erie Otters and award-winning local independent brewery Lavery Brewing Company are proud to announce the full-scale return of their official collaboration beer, YOU OTTER BEER HERE. After selling out within days of release in February 2023, the two downtown-based organizations are thrilled to re-launch the craft beer in late September ahead of the team’s season opener.
A crisp, clean, and light beer without much hop bitterness, YOU OTTER BEER HERE is a Helles-style Lager brewed and canned in the heart of downtown Erie as a love letter to Otters fans and the Erie community. As part of Lavery Brewing’s pride in Erie, the company’s beers are available exclusively in Erie County.
Lavery Brewing Company is owned-and-operated by Erie’s Jason & Nicole Lavery – named Best Local Entrepreneurs 2022 by Erie Reader – and have been brewing award-winning beers in downtown Erie for 13 years.

An official YOU OTTER BEER HERE release party will be held from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 27 at The Bunker at Lavery Brewing Company. This family-friendly, happy-hour event will lead-in to the Erie Otters’ season opener the following day in Mississauga, and highly-anticipated Home Opener (pres. by EC3) on Saturday, September 30. Otters’ staff and mascot Otto will be in attendance at the brewery to meet fans. As part of the celebratory event, assistant coaches Wes Wolfe and Ken Peroff will be celebrity beertending from 5:45 to 6:15 P.M. All fans (21+) who purchase YOU OTTER BEER HERE at the event will receive a ticket (while supplies last) for a chance to win a gift basket of Lavery beers and Otters swag.
While fans are encouraged to be among the first to try the Erie-exclusive collaboration brew at the launch party, this is only the beginning of the excitement surrounding the partnership. In collaboration with Erie Events, YOU OTTER BEER HERE will be available for the entirety of the 2023-24 Otters season at the Erie Insurance Arena. As part of this new stadium-centric availability, fans will be able to enjoy YOU OTTER BEER HERE during our Home Opener (pres. by EC3) Fan Fest on Saturday, September 30 at 3:00 P.M.
