AROUND THE ARENA
CELEBRATE INDIGENOUS HERITAGE
A celebration of First Nations, Native Americans, and Indigenous Peoples from all across the many nations kicks off our month of December.
Working alongside our friends at Hockey Indigenous, The Orange Jersey Project, and other indigenous non-profits and organizations, we shine the spotlight on indigenous hockey players and peoples all night.
From a special pregame ceremony to messaging all throughout the game, it’ll be a game full of education and celebration.
A BIG-TIME BOBBLE
The second bobblehead of our Bobblehead Giveaway Series (pres. by Rebich Investments) features Otters’ leading-scorer and Akwesasne Mohawk Carey Terrance.
The first 1500 fans in attendance will receive one of these exclusive, limited-quantity Carey Terrance Bobbleheads (pres. by Rebich Investments). Don’t arrive late!
JUST WARMING UP
Designed by Mohawk artist Kory Parkin (Paints by Parkin), the Erie Otters will take the ice in pregame in specialty jerseys adorned with indigenous iconography.
The color Orange of the jersey represents the focus and awareness on Truth & Reconciliation, and also features the Hiawatha belt – representing the Six Nations (Haudenosaunee people).
These specialty jerseys will be available for auction – with proceeds benefiting Indigenous organizations like Hockey Indigenous.
