
Rick Steadman returns to the Knights for another season as an Assistant Coach with the London Knights. Steadman joined the Knights from the Ontario Hockey Academy Major Midget AAA where he held both Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions from 2012-2014. Prior to returning to Ontario, Steadman coached in the Herentals Belgium Elite Division, specializing as a defensive coach.
Steadman brings many years of experience with him to the Knights. Playing the majority of his junior career with the London Knights before being traded to the Guelph Storm in the 2004-05 season, Steadman scored 28 goals and 45 assists, for a total of 73 points in 262 games during his time in the OHL. Following his junior career, Steadman played four seasons for the University of Prince Edward Island.
In his role with the Knights, Steadman is responsible for planning and preparing every practice, organizing and managing black ace skates and overseeing on ice skill development. He also prepares and executes all one-on-one video review both pre- and post-game as well as the pre-scouting of the opposing teams. Steadman also handles player communication and is on the bench providing player instruction to the defenseman each night.
