OHL WESTERN CONFERENCE SEMI-FINAL BEGINS TONIGHT

The 2014 OHL Western Conference Semi-Finals series begins tonight and features a clash between two deep teams: the Guelph Storm (1) and your London Knights (4).  Both teams have been near or atop the CHL rankings all season and have a combined 21 NHL draft picks on their rosters.  Home ice will be a key factor for each team as the Knights and Storm split the regular season series with 3 wins each, all happening on home ice.

The Knights will be without goaltender Anthony Stolarz (suspension) and defencemen Zach Bell (injury) and Brady Austin (illness) but welcome forward Tait Seguin, defenceman Aiden Jamieson and back-up goaltender Justin Tugwell back into the lineup. Knights goaltender Jake Patterson will take the reins while forward Brett Welychka draws back on defence to help fill the void.

The series begins tonight at the Sleeman Centre in Guelph with the puck drop scheduled for 7:30pm.  Fans can watch the game on Sportsnet ONE (channel 99 in London) or can listen in on AM 1290 CJBK.
