NHL ENTRY DRAFT WATCH: BRANDON CRAWLEY
The 2015 NHL Entry Draft will be taking place in Sunrise, Florida beginning this Friday and there are a few London Knights who have the chance to be called upon to shake hands with a NHL GM and dawn a new sweater in front of thousands of fans. In the coming days, we’ll outline a few London Knights poised to make the next big step in their hockey career. First up, Knights defenseman Brandon Crawley.
Brandon Crawley became a member of the Knights as a free agent singing on May 28, 2014. The 6’0” 198 lbs. defenseman was ranked as the 173rd best North American skater by NHL Central Scouting at the midterm before a solid second half giving him a final rank of 102.
Crawley, a New Jersey native, tallied 3 goals and 16 points in his rookie season with London and gave the team a respectable +/- of +6 on the backend. Knights’ #14 previously played with the Selects Hockey Academy 18U in the United States Premier Hockey League solidifying him as a defense-first defenseman but still collecting 5 goals and 11 points in 27 games. Crawley was a big part of the Selects Hockey Academy UPSHL U18 championship in 2014.
