MARTENET & WARREN SERVE UP SMILES FOR MCHAPPY DAY!
The London Knights Hockey Club is proud to support McDonald’s restaurants with their McHappy Day initiative. Knights forward John Warren and defenseman Chris Martenet helped out today at the McDonald’s located at 959 Hamilton Road East from 11am-12pm taking orders, working the drive thru, collecting donations, serve up lunch and dishing out smiles!
$1 from every Big Mac® sandwich, Happy Meal®, and hot McCafé® beverage sold in McDonald’s restaurants today will go to local children’s charities across the country, like Ronald McDonald House®.
Also present were Knights assistanat coaches Dylan Hunter and Rick Steadman who presented, on behalf of the London Knights Hockey Club, a cheque to McDonald’s for $5,000 for McHappy Day.
Since McHappy Day was first introduced in 1977, the event has raised more than $46 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities® Canada, Ronald McDonald Houses and local children’s charities across Canada.
