Knights draft Philip McRae in Round 1

LONDON, ONTARIO: London Knights General Manager Mark Hunter today announced that the team has selected Centre Philip McRae in the 1st Round (20th Overall ) in the 2006 Ontario Hockey League Draft. McRae, 16 played for the US Under 17 team. McRae stands 6.00 and weighs 175 pounds. McRae is the son of Knights minority owner Basil McRae who is also an Knights alumni.r

Knights 2nd pick (Round 3, 52nd Overall) was Tucker Hunter, 16 played for London Junior Knights. Tucker stands 6.00 and weighs 170 lbs. Tucker is the son of London Knights President and Head Coach Dale Hunter.
