FROM INSIDE THE CASTLE WALLS ¦ A KNIGHTS WEEKLY UPDATE
Previous Games
London Knights defeat the Kitchener Rangers 3-0
In what would turn out to be Anthony Stolarz’s second shutout of the season, the whole team looked in fine form. Bo Horvat got the ball rolling for the boys as he roofed a rebound over Kitchener net minder Tyson Teichmann. The second period saw more of the same as Phoenix draft pick Max Domi put home his second of the year to gives the boys a 2-0 lead after 40 minutes. Chris Tierney would seal the victory with an impressive 200 foot empty netter.
London Knights lose to the Erie Otters 5-1
After 20 minutes of play, the boys found themselves all tied up with the Otters at 1 a piece courtesy of a Max Domi wrister. Unable to solve Dansk in the second, the team would fall behind by two goals heading into the 3rd. Similar to the 2nd period, the boys were unable to find a way to beat Dansk and surrendered another 2 goals.
London Knights lose to the Guelph Storm 7-4
This tilt was fast paced and physical from the start. Guelph was able to add two quick tally’s early on but a fight from McCarron got the boys going and resulted in Matt Rupert’s 7th of the season to pull the team within 1. The 2nd frame saw the boys on the power play numerous times but Nichols stood on his head for the Storm. It was Guelph who was able to increase their lead to 4-1. Outshooting the Storm, Dvorak and Austin were able to add two late 3rd period goals. Guelph, however, proved to be too much and took the win 7-4.
