ATHANASIOU TO PARTICIPATE IN TOP PROSPECTS GAME
LONDON, ONTARIO: The London Knights Hockey Club is proud to announce that forward Andreas Athanasiou will be representing the London Knights at the 2012 CHL Top Prospects Game to be held in Kelowna, B.C. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. The CHL Top Prospects Game is an opportunity for the top 40 draft eligible players in the Canadian Hockey League to showcase their talents in front of National Hockey League scouts.
Athanasiou, currently in his second season with the Knights, has recorded 16 goals, to go along with 12 assists, for 28 points through 44 games. He is also a plus-13 for the season.
London Knights rookie defenseman Olli Maatta was also selected to participate in the game. However, due to an illness, he has been forced to withdraw from the event. Maatta has 19 points through 38 games, and is a plus-20.
