TESTA, O’REILLY NAMED TO HOCKEY CANADA U17 DEVELOPMENT CAMP

Hockey Canada has released the rosters for the 2022-23 Under-17 Development Camp. Knights 2022 OHL Draft selections, Luca Testa and Sam O’Reilly were among the invitees.

Testa was the Knights 1st round selection at 15th overall in this past year’s draft. He finished his Minor Midget AAA year at an almost two goal per game pace with the Niagara North Stars. Testa rounded out his season as an AP callup to the GOJHL’s St. Catherines Falcons where they would go onto to win the Sutherland Cup in late May. Testa finished his GOJHL playoff run with 21 points in 20 games. O’Reilly was the Knights 2nd round selection at 37th overall. He spent his draft year with the Vaughan Kings in the GTHL, recording 17 goals and 17 assists in 32 games. O’Reilly’s big size and speed was largely on notice during the OHL cup when he recorded a 4 goal game in the quarterfinals.
