Knights Open Playoffs at Home Against Attack
The London Knights captured the Hamilton Spectator trophy as regular season champions, securing the #1 seed in the OHL Playoffs for a second consecutive season.
The Knights (55-11-2-0) and the Owen Sound Attack (26-35-4-3) are set to face off in a first round series after Owen Sound edged out the Sarnia Sting on the final weekend for the eighth and final playoff spot. The Knights, amidst a season that saw them capture the second most wins in franchise history, dominated the season series against the Attack winning all six meetings despite the first three matchups needing extra time.

The Knights have historically held the upper hand over the Attack, with a 13-2-0-0 record in their last 15 meetings over the past five years. The two teams last met in round one of the 2023 playoffs when the Knights would go onto sweep the Attack in four games en-route to an OHL Championship Series appearance.
Players to Watch:
- Sam Dickinson was selected in the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft by the San Jose Sharks and enjoyed a career season, leading the Knights in scoring with a team-high 91 points, setting a new franchise record for most points by a defenceman in a single season.
- Denver Barkey missed almost all of March dealing with an upper body injury suffered in a game against the Niagara IceDogs but returned to the Knights lineup on the final weekend of the season, recording four points against the Windsor Spitfires. The Knights captain finished fourth in playoff scoring last season with 27 points in 18 games.
- Kasper Halttunen set an OHL record for most goals by an import player in a single postseason after recording 17 in 18 games last spring.
- Easton Cowan returns to the OHL playoffs after becoming the third London Knight to win OHL regular season and playoff MVP after leading the league with 34 points in 18 playoff games.
- Carter George backstopped Team Canada at the 2024 World Juniors and has the ability to steal games for the Attack. George was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round this past summer.
- Piece Mbuyi set an Attack franchise record for most points in a single season by a “true rookie”. Mbuyi lead all OHL rookies in goals and points.
