O’REILLY NETS FIRST CAREER HAT-TRICK IN BIG KNIGHTS WIN
LONDON, ON – Sam O’Reilly and Sam Dickinson combine for seven points to help propel the Knights to big 9-1 win over the Owen Sound Attack on Friday night.
Early in the opening frame, Kasper Halttunen and Easton Cowan opened up the scoring before Attack rookie forward Cole Zurwaski responded to cut the deficit to one.
Henry Brzustewicz beat the buzzer with his tenth of the season and the Knights never looked back.
O’Reilly would open up the second period with two goals before Sam Dickinson added another for his fourth point of the evening.
Kasper Halttunen and Evan Van Gorp scored early in third before Jesse Nurmi found a cutting Sam O’Reilly to cap off his first career OHL hat-trick.
Austin Elliott improved to 25-1-0-0 in a London Knights uniform stopping 25 shots.
The Knights are in Niagara on Saturday evening for a date with the IceDogs.
