KNIGHTS CONCLUDE BACK-TO-BACK WITH OWEN SOUND MEETING

LONDON, Ont. – On Thursday night, the London Knights cruised to a 6-2 victory against the Windsor Spitfires, led by a four-point performance from Ruslan Gazizov. To conclude a back-to-back, the Owen Sound Attack visit Budweiser Gardens on Friday.

Players to Watch – London Knights (18-11-0-1)

Ruslan Gazizov

Although a four-assist outing extended his point streak to three games in Windsor on Thursday, Gazizov also surpassed the 100-point milestone of his Ontario Hockey League career. In his last five contests, the 5-foot-11 winger has nine points, which are all helpers. Through 30 appearances this season, Gazizov has 27 points, good for sixth on the team.

Sam O’Reilly 

In his last 10 appearances, Sam O’Reilly has been an exact point-per-game player, tallying a goal and nine helpers. On Thursday, the league’s leader in points among rookies (24) found the back of the net for the first time in over a month and recorded an assist in the outing. The 2024 NHL draft-eligible forward is riding a three-game, six-point streak.

Know the Foe – Owen Sound Attack (15-12-2-0)

On Wednesday, Owen Sound fell 3-2 to the Guelph Storm and will be looking for a quick start against London in an effort to get back in the win column before they return home on Saturday.

Deni Goure

Deni Goure leads the Attack in points (37) this season, and in his previous five games he has just as many. The over-age forward from Grand Pointe, Ont. is eight points away from 200 in his OHL tenure.

Sam Sedley

Sam Sedley, who leads Owen Sound in assists (27), has recorded nine points in his previous 10 matchups. The 70th overall pick in the 2019 OHL Draft has been a tremendous quarterback on the top power-play unit, resulting in a team-leading 13 helpers on the man advantage.

After securing two points on Thursday, London climbed into the Midwest Division’s second spot with 37 points, while Owen Sound sits fourth with 32 points.
