BARKEY, BONK SET TO FACE OFF IN CHL TOP PROSPECTS GAME

The puck will drop for the Kubota CHL Top Prospects Game tonight at 7:00pm on TSN. The Knights will have two players representing London on the national stage in front of plenty of NHL scouts. Denver Barkey for Team Red. Oliver Bonk for Team White.

Barkey, who was named to the game as a replacement for the injured Andrew Cristall, is having a great sophomore season in the OHL. Through 41 games Barkey has 11 goals, 26 assists, and a +10 rating, ranking 3rd in Knights team scoring. Barkey was the Knights 1st round selection at 16th overall in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection.

Bonk was named to the team in December amidst a great rookie season in London. Bonk spent the 2021-22 season with St. Thomas in the GOJHL before playing 7 playoff games with the Knights in the spring. Bonk ranks 4th in rookie scoring in the OHL with 9 goals, 19 assists, +13 rating leaving him T-4th with Knights teammate Easton Cowan. Bonk was the Knights 2nd pick in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection at 26th overall.

Barkey and Bonk continue the streak of having 2+ players from the Knights at the Top Prospects Game since 2016.
