KNIGHTS COMPLETE 2019 CHL IMPORT DRAFT
The London Knights have completed their selections in the 2019 CHL Import Draft. After Victoriaville passed on their first-round selection, the Knights ended up selecting 55th overall.
With the 55th overall selection, the Knights picked defenseman, Kirill Steklov. The 2002 born defender will be heading into his first NHL Entry Draft eligible season. Playing for Podolsk Vityaz U17, in the MJU17 league totaled 12 points in 22 games played.
“We’re very excited to welcome Kirill to London,” said Knights General Manager, Mark Hunter. “Welcoming an import player is always an exciting process, both for the team and the player. As a puck moving, offensively gifted defenseman, we look forward to the abilities that Kirill will bring to our organization for the upcoming season.”
The Knights then passed on their second pick in order to protect Minnesota Wild prospect, Matvey Guskov, taken in the 2018 CHL Import Draft.
