Nick Hornby Named New Equipment Manager

The Niagara IceDogs are happy to announce that Nick Hornby has been hired as the team’s newest equipment manager.

A native of Grimsby, Ontario, Hornby graduated Niagara College in the spring of 2006, earning his degree in Fitness and Health Promotions. With his newly acquired education under his belt, Hornby would spend the next few years gaining experience in the industry through various jobs, before ultimately landing with the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League prior to the 2010-2011 season.

Hornby would spend five seasons with the Toronto based AHL team, with responsibilities including overseeing the ordering of products, the maintenance of equipment and ensuring proper inventory of gear both at home, and when traveling on the road.

“I’m very excited to be joining the IceDogs family.” Said Nick, also added in that, “this is a top class organization to be a part of, and I am looking forward to being part of this group moving forward.”

The IceDogs are very thrilled to have Nick join us as part of the staff, and look forward to working with him on a daily basis.
