IceDogs Fall to Colts, 6-3
The Niagara IceDogs fell to the Barrie Colts in a hard fought contest Friday night by a score of 6-3.
The IceDogs and Colts got off to a heated start on Friday evening as both teams came out looking for the upper hand. Barrie would take an early lead in the period, but the Dogs’ came back fighting hard and Jordan Maletta tied it up with his team leading 31st goal of the season. The shots on goal after the first period were all tied up at 10’s.
The Dogs came out and scored two quick goals to start the third period and get within one, but that was as close as they were able to get as Barrie would score a quick goal and then finish it off with an empty netter. Ben Jones was named the third star of the game with a strong effort, scoring his 4th goal of the season.
The IceDogs will be back at home tomorrow to face off against the Sudbury Wolves. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at all IceDogs’ ticketing locations.
