IceDogs Back On Home Ice This Week
NIAGARA, ON – The IceDogs are busy this week, with 3 games on the docket as we approach the final weeks of the regular season.The boys kick off the week Thursday as they welcome the Erie Otters to the Garden City. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00pm, and Thursday’s game marks our Billet Appreciation Night, where we will be honouring our tremendous billets during a ceremony pre-game! The last time these two teams faced off the IceDogs took a commanding 6-1 win over the Otters in Erie. Captain Gavin Bryant led the way with a hat-trick, while Owen Flores stopped 44 of 45 shots in the win. The IceDogs then hit the road for a Friday night showdown with the Mississauga Steelheads at Paramount Fine Foods Centre. The IceDogs have not had much success in Missussauga this season, suffering two defeats thus far. They will look to change that in their final visit to Mississauga. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00pm and will be available to watch on CHLTV.
The boys then come back home to battle the Barrie Colts on St. Patrick’s Day. Puck drop is scheduled for 2:00pm as the IceDogs will be wearing green St. Patricks Day themed jerseys! The jerseys will be auctioned off after the game in section 105 with all proceeds going to YMCA Niagara! The last time the IceDogs hosted the Colts they took a 4-1 win on the back of an excellent performance from Owen Flores in goal.
