2024/2025 IceDogs Regular Season Schedule Announced
NIAGARA, ON – The full 2024/2025 OHL regular season schedule has been announced.
The IceDogs will open up their season with three consecutive road games, beginning by visiting the Nation’s Capital to take on the Ottawa 67’s on Friday September 27th. They will then battle the Frontenacs in Kingston on Sunday the 29th, followed by a visit to Oshawa on Friday October 4th. Before opening up their home campaign against Brampton on Sunday October 6th at 2pm.
Their schedule features a season high of 9 home games in the month of November. Meanwhile, the month of December boasts a season high of 8 away games. The popular New Year’s Eve game returns as the IceDogs host the Peterborough Petes on December 31st at 6pm. The schedule sees a heavy set of home Sunday matinee games as the IceDogs are set to host a total of 12. In addition, the IceDogs will conclude the regular season with 5 games in 7 days, including 3 home games and 2 away games.
Full Schedule (By Month):
September:
The IceDogs will kickoff the 2024-2025 OHL regular season in September with 2 road games. They head to Ottawa to start things off in the Nation’s Capital on September 27th. After a rest day on the Saturday, the IceDogs will travel down to Kingston to take on the Frontenacs on Sunday.
October:
The IceDogs will open the month of October on the road before hosting the Steelheads for their home opener on Sunday October 6th at 2pm. This will begin a 4 game homestand (tied for the longest homestand of the season). In addition, they will make their lone trips to Kitchener, Sarnia and Windsor this month.
November:
The month of November will be the busiest of the season, with a total of 12 games on schedule. This will see a heavy home set of games as 9 of the 12 games are on home-ice for the IceDogs. Their 3 away games in the month are in Brantford, Brampton and their lone trip to Guelph.
December:
The IceDogs will see their largest road swing of the season in December, as they begin a string of 7 road games on December 12th in North Bay. The Christmas break will break up these consecutive road games as the final 2 of the 7 games will come on December 28th and 29th against Flint and Saginaw respectively. The IceDogs will finally return to home-ice for the popular New Years Eve game on December 31st against the Peterborough Petes.
January:
The IceDogs will open up 2025 with a visit to the defending OHL Champions in the London Knights, followed by a trip up to Owen Sound to take on the Attack. Meanwhile, the defending Memorial Cup Champions will make their only visit to the Garden City on Thursday January 9th. The month will also feature a large contingent of Sunday home games, with the IceDogs hosting a total of 4 in the month against: Windsor, Peterborough, Barrie and Erie.
February:
The IceDogs will predominantly be on the road during the month of February, playing a total of 7 games away from home compared to 4 at home. The month begins on the road with a small road trip beginning with Barrie on Saturday the 1st, followed by a afternoon game in North Bay on Sunday the 2nd. They will close the month out at home against the Erie Otters.
March:
The final month of the regular season sees a total of 10 games on the schedule, including 6 at home and 4 on the road. It will be a challenging end to the season as the IceDogs are set to play 5 games in 7 seven days to conclude the 2024-2025 OHL regular season. This stretch includes 3 home games and 2 away games. The final home game of the regular season is slated for Friday March 21st against the Battalion. Meanwhile, the regular season will conclude on the road, in Barrie, on March 22nd.
